It's Time to Get Serious About Flossing!

You should make an appointment at the dental clinic in Dallas, TX at least twice per year, but you should also brush and floss your teeth every day. Flossing is only effective if you do it the right way, and many people don’t understand how it works. Watch this video if you’re ready to get serious about flossing.

If you want to make sure you’re flossing correctly, start by wrapping a long piece of floss around each of your thumbs. You should be able to pull it tight between your thumbs and have a few inches of floss to work with. Gently wiggle the floss between 2 teeth, and pull it to 1 side of 1 tooth and under the gum line. As you put pressure on 1 side of the tooth while pulling the floss upwards, you should be able to remove plaque that has been trapped.
